Goodbye Crib

May, 2007 - Well, a new baby is on the way so Elena decided she would say goodbye to her crib and move into a big girl bed. Bedtime is quite a struggle at times. The child doesn't seem to understand the whole "staying in bed" concept (and also doesn't respond much to discipline), so we're working through this together with love and some tight consistency. She's fallen out of the bed a few times, despite the railing we got (she fell off the very end of the bed - need another railing I guess!) and usually ends up in some weird pose buried by pillows. The funny thing is - she still won't get out of bed when she wakes up. She just yells for us. Somehow that doesn't factor in when she's GOING to sleep. Ah ... the issues we ponder as parents ...
