Medina Days 2008

Medina Days is a huge tradition for our family. We've done it for the last 35 years. Until this day - it has never rained. Fortunately, we were able to get in the parade and some fun at the park before it started dumping. The parade is very sweet .... very ... not Medina in its simple nature. All the kids just show up and walk together from one end of town to the other. There were more kids throwing candy than there were observers to eat it. So Elena ended up picking up a lot of the candy and cupcakes for herself along the way. Nate, Shannon, Lucy and Will also joined us. Apparently, Nate wore this jester costume when he was in middle school! I think it probably looks much better on Lucy. Sorry Nate.

That is too cute. The tutu Elena is wearing was my first ballet outfit in about the third grade. Glad to see it is getting more use than just the one time I wore it back in the 80's.
