Camp Woodworth

Emma got to experience her first week of overnight summer camp at Camp Woodworth on the Key Peninsula. She went with her friend Aerin and the two girls had a really nice time together. We had lots of tears though. Emma shared that she often cried herself to sleep. And her sister was doing the same at home - as she missed her Emma so much. Emma is not sure if she'll want to have an overnight experience again next summer. But we'll see how she feels when she's 10.

Camp Woodworth was very rustic but in a beautiful location on the water. The girls had many activities to choose from and Emma picked drama, friendship bracelets, and sailing. She also enjoyed hide and seek with her counselors, singing songs, kayaking and canoeing. As far as the food goes, Miss little gourmet said it wasn't the best but she was OK with it. Food included oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, sloppy joes, mac and cheese and lemonade "that smelled like fish but tasted good."
