Rachel Toone is our pastor's daughter. She and I formed a special bond in her senior year of high school when I helped lead a group called "The Track." It was a mentorship program at church that taught the kids inductive study methods and how to lead a devotional or teach bible study. Man, was it ever a rich season. Rachel is now at Whitworth and I miss her face dearly. But over Chrismtas we got to spend some alone time in Seattle. I took her to the Black Nativity (my FAVORITE Christmas show) and out to Ethiopian food. We tried to do this for the last 2 years and had to cancel because of snow and then a vacation. So glad it finally happened.
