We ended our stay in CA with 3 days at Disneyland. It was such a treat for the girls. We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn, which was right next door to the park. This allowed us to go back to the hotel for naps and lunch - which saved us money and our sanity. The girls loved meeting all the characters (the funniest of whom was the gal from 101 Dalmations - a STITCH). They also really enjoyed the rides. Emma kept saying "Am I a big deal if I go on this ride??" She then proceeded to try almost every ride she was tall enough for - including Space Mountain. She only didn't want to do rides with big "drop offs". Elena would also squeal with delight whenever she was tall enough for a ride. She did whatever the height chart would let her - including the Matterhorn and the Haunted Mansion. She would say "That was scae-wee. Let's do again!" Mom enjoyed all the rides except for Dumbo and that dang swinging ferris wheel at California Adventure. I had to sit on the floor of the ride while my 2 year old comforted me. What a pathetic site. The weather was great! 87 the first day (a bit on the warm side) and mid 70's the rest of the time. It was strange because we were also there the first day Disney began their Christmas celebrations. 87 degrees and Santa just don't seem to go together. But whatever. It was cool to see the pretend snow and the various altered versions of rides. We completely knocked out the girls by the time it was all over. But it created a fabulous sleepy time on the plane ride home, and all our plane buddies were thrilled!
